Garmin introduced its newest cycling GPS product today, the Edge 500.
This navigational tool tracks speed, distance, time, GPS position, elevation, calories burned, climb and descent. Those are a lot of applications in a product that weighs just two ounces.
The Edge 500 is designed mainly for performance cyclists. It will go on sale in December with a suggested retail price of $249.99. If bundled with a heart rate monitor and speed/cadence sensor, the Edge will carry a $349.99 price tag.
The latest in Garmin's Edge product line for cyclists can be mounted on the bicycle stem or handlebars. It has battery life of up to 18 hours.
