Dennis Hopper Out & About In NY

Dennis Hopper was out and about in New York last night, just 3 days after being released from hospital.

Being that Hopper was rushed to hospital for flu-like symptoms the legendary 73-year-old actor was doing the wise thing of keeping himself hydrated. He clang on to a bottle of water as he made his way through a crowded sidewalk on the streets of New York. To watch a video shot by TMZ, click here.

Prior to Dennis Hopper’s hospitalization (Hopper was admitted to hospital for flu-like symptoms but was released yesterday), he interviewed “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart for the latest issue of Interview Magazine.

Dennis Hopper Is Out Of Hospital And “Felling Much Better”

A spokesperson for Dennis Hopper has said the 73-year-old actor is “feeling much better” after he was rushed to hospital on Wednesday.

The “Easy Rider” star was taken to a Manhattan hospital after he came down with flu-like symptoms. A source told Entertainment Tonight that Hopper arrived at the hospital by ambulance and was wearing an oxygen mask as well as having numerous tubes visible. Hopper has obviously been treated for his symptoms and is "now back in his hotel room and feeling much better," manager Sam Maydew said in a statement.

Breaking News: Dennis Hopper Rushed To Hospital

Entertainment Tonight reports that Dennis Hopper has been rushed to a New York hospital.

The actor was taken to hospital by ambulance and took straight to the emergence room. Sources from the Manhattan hospital say that he was wearing an oxygen mask and had numerous tubes visible.

Fifty-four years ago an 18 year old Dennis Hopper met a 24 year old James Dean on the set of Rebel Without A Cause. The two of them became immediate friends and prior to James Dean’s tragic death, Dean advised Hopper to start taking photographs.

Whether or not Dean knew how much weight his words had on Hopper may never be known, but judging by the few released photos from Dennis Hopper’s new monograph the results are clear for everyone to see.

A: No. Easy Rider captured a pivotal moment in American history, the end of the '60s. It's like a time capsule. And at the same time, we wanted to make sort of a modern Western, which gives it a timeless quality. I'm proud that people still care about the movie.
