Roman Polanski, the 76-year-old director who is currently being held in a Swiss jail is apparently trying to complete his latest work from his cell.
Polanski fled the United States in 1978 when he was charged with unlawful sex with a minor. In 2005 the U.S. put out an international arrest warrant for Polanski. He avoided countries that would extradite him and took up residence in France, the country he first fled to. However, in September 2009 Polanski was arrested by Swiss police at the request of United States authorities. Polanski had traveled to Switzerland to pick up a lifetime achievement award from the Zurich Film Festival.
