TomTom’s announced that starting from today its TomTom navigation app for the iPhone can be purchased through Apples App Store.
As well as making the navigation app available through the App Store, TomTom have also made maps for Brazil and Mexico available to TomTom app for iPhone users.

According to reports from the NPD Group, the leading global provider of consumer and retail market research information, GPS sales are set to increase 8% this holiday season compared to last year.
That figure however is a little misleading. The sales may go up by 8% this year but the average retail prices on PND’s are down by 25%, meaning that the revenue will actually fall by 16%.

Garmin have launched a new version of their satellite navigation system aimed specifically to help lorry drivers across Britain.
The nüvi 465TF is designed to guide the lorry driver the most hazard-free way helping them avoid low bridges, narrow lanes and small villages. The device allows the truck driver to enter the vehicles dimensions and then the nüvi 465TF will reroute the journey taking these measurements into consideration.

TomTom have introduced us to the new TomTom XL 335S. The new GPS device is basically the same as the TomTom XL 340S but at a slightly cheaper price. The new XL 335S will sell at $239, whereas the XL 340S is priced at $249.

It’s official, the TomTom car kit for the iPhone is now available in most of Europe.
