Kim Cattrall and the faceless people!

Just a few days ago I had posted a blog telling you guys about Kim Cattrall opening Harrods, the mega department store in London, England.

Kim Cattrall did a great job at the red carpet event and looked very happy to officially open Harrods as its huge summer sale began. She went about greeting the crowd, signing autographs and posed for photos. Not many things could take your attention away from such an "A-List" celebrity but when some people in the crowd have no face, it's worth a second look!

All over England these faceless people have been popping up. They have been spotted at Wimbledon, Elton John’s white tie ball and now Harrods grand opening. I'm sure this is some kind of genius marketing campaign but I’m also sure it gave Kim Cattrall quite a fright.

Have a look!

Gary Busey and Dumb Criminals

Gary Busey has lent his expertise on the show "The World's Dumbest Criminals." Follow the link below to see number 10 of the world’s dumbest criminals as he tries to rob a store in Texas. The guy trying to rob this place has no gun but pretends he does by putting his hand under his top and making a gun shape.

Gary Busey is quick to point out that the guy obviously had no sense about the history of Texas. The poor chap trying to rob the store was probably the only person in a 70 miles radius who didn't have a gun, the store clerk certainly did!

Anyway, the guy ends up paying the clerk to get out. Like Gary Busey puts it, "You don't mess with Texas."

Mr. T navigates Herbie

Recently Mr. T has been popping up all over the place navigating different people and things. Well today I am posting my favorite clip to date, "Mr. T navigates Herbie."

The "Mr. T’s PacMan and Frogger Adventures" are without a doubt great, the clips of "Mr. T navigating Mario and Mr. Bean" have proved to be very popular, but this one with Mr. T navigating Herbie is in my eyes absolutely awesome!

It's classic Herbie which seems to be quite fitting as I'm sure Mr. T has grown up watching these movies. I have heard a rumor that Mr. T will be putting his voice to good use again by navigating the more recent Herbie film starring Lindsay Lohan. I've also heard that Gary Busey wants to shout directions to Lindsay Lohan so I guess we will just have to wait and see. Who do you think should get the pleasure of giving voice commands to Lindsay? I could even see Burt Reynolds wanting in on a piece of this action.

Anyway, check it out:

Kim Cattrall Opens Harrods

Everybody loves a sale and Kim Cattrall is no different. Here in America we have Independents day (July 4th) just around the corner and like most good shoppers I will be waiting in a long line hoping to get a nice new Tomtom or whatever else may tickle your fancy at half price.

Over the pond in Kim Cattrall’s homeland (and mine), the elite department store Harrods centered in the heart of London, England has just announced Kim Cattrall is set to open the doors for their big end-of-season offerings.

Vogue quotes Kim Cattrall as saying, "The clothes, shoes, handbags, sparklies and smellies... I've been a faithful Harrods shopper since I got my first credit card. As a Brit, it's going to be a real thrill for me to open the sale at one of the U.K.'s national institutions."

"I was so delighted that they asked me to participate."

Having worked near Harrods when I was based in London I can tell you first hand that this sale is mad! The sale has items that are a fraction of the original retail price and that in return makes the customers, extremely keen and eager. I’m talking Gary Busey crazy!

Anyway, I’m sure Kim is going to end up with a lot of fantastic bargains. If you’re in London and want to check out the sale and see Kim Cattrall opening the doors its all taking place at 9am on June 30th, Monday at the Knightsbridge store.

Kim Cattrall on your Tomtom

Kim Cattrall is the newest celebrity voice on Navtones and I for one love it! I have known that her voice was coming to Navtones for some time now but it is my pleasure to finally be able to say, she is here and she is ready to be installed on your Tomtom. I highly recommend you do, like Kim says "you won't be disappointed."

I have not yet seen the new "Sex and the City" movie but I have been told that Kim Cattrall is absolutely fantastic in it. Kim Cattrall is a very classy and sexy lady and having her voice on my Tomtom is making driving to work in the morning a lot less painful. I already sense that my wife is getting a little bit jealous of her though. Last night when I didn't come home for dinner and my wife asked where I had been, my only answer was, "Sorry, I have spent the last 2 hours trying to get lost!" What can I say, Kim has me hooked.

Kim is a great new voice and I can assure you you'll be as hooked as I am.

Get here voice here.

Happy Birthday Gary

Gary Busey turned 64 today and here at Navtones we would like to wish him a very happy birthday and many, many more to come.

On his birthday back in 1990 Gary Busey bought one of Buddy Holly's guitars in auction for the staggering price of $242,000.00. Busey, who was nominated for an Oscar when he played Buddy Holly in the movie "The Buddy Holly story" was obviously already or became a huge fan of the late singer, so much so that he bought himself quite the birthday present.

I hope that this birthday brings Gary all that he desires, especially as he's already given all us a gift by signing up for the new "Celebrity Rehab."

Happy Birthday Mr. Busey, for he's a jolly good fella!

Mr. T navigates Wii Mario

Mr. T is at it again!

On a personal note, I'm just about to go buy a Nintendo Wii and I can't wait. One game I really want to get is Mario Kart and it looks as if Mr. T has already been trying to help Mario out.

Mr. T has been navigating Pac-man, frogger, Mr. Bean and now Mario.

Navtones, keeping you in good health

Tomtom have today announced the results of a study carried out by top research institutions in the US and Europe. The study provided evidence that using a navigational device while driving has a positive influence on the driver.

The key findings of the research were as follows:

  • The use of satellite navigation devices heightens awareness and reduces the stress levels of the driver
  • The use of navigation devices reduces the driver`s workload
  • The use of a satellite navigational device improves the driver's behavior when driving through an unknown area to an unknown destination
  • The use of a satellite navigation device reduces the number of miles driven when driving through an unknown area to an unknown destination
  • The use of satellite navigation devices reduces travel time when driving through an unknown area to an unknown destination

I am taking this as solid evidence that our celebrity voices are helping keep you in good health and also aiding the environment as they help you reduce travel time, which in turn uses less gas.

Good on us here at Navtones. It might be going a bit far to call us Saints but heroes is a description we can all live with.

Thank you Gary Busey, for making me feel more alert.

Thank you Mr. T, for reducing my stress levels.

Thank you Dennis Hopper, for easing my workload.

Thank you Burt Reynolds, for reducing the number of miles I do.

And thank you Brock and Bambi, for improving my behavior.

If you want to read more about this article, click here.

O.k. I have to go now as I`m leaving for a meeting where we are all going to sit in a circle and pat each other`s backs. I know, its fine, don`t mention it, just doing our bit, thank you...

Mr. T vs Mr. Bean

Over the last few weeks I have been making a number of videos that have Mr. T navigating people or things to their required destination.

So far Mr. T has helped Pac-Man and frogger. Now Mr. T is taking on the daunting task of helping Mr. Bean. This video shows Mr. Bean in a famous sketch changing in his car, the awesome mini copper.

Have a look and see what you think. I think Mr. T does a good job, especially taking into account this is Mr. Bean we are dealing with.

Any suggestions for other videos are welcome. Stay tuned however as I guarantee you more are on the way.

Mr. T Get Some Nuts fool

Mr. T `Get Some Nuts` campaign is finally hitting Australia.

In 2005 I lived in Australia for a year and had the time of my life. I loved the weather, I loved the atmosphere of the place and I loved the people. The one thing that was missing however was Mr. T.

Mr. T has been a face for the chocolate bar Snickers for some time now and has had a campaign running for any whimps out there to `Get Some Nuts.`

The campaign will hit Oz on 22nd of July starting in Melbourne. I don`t yet know if he will be launching a new crusade but the commercial that has been released in other countries is one I feel will go down well in Australia.

Have a look and let me know if Mr. T`s campaign produces anything new.

In the mean time, `Get Some Nuts` and enjoy!

Mr. T`s drive in the country

I have just found a short video that contradicts everything that Mr. T stands for.

The tune on this video brings back some very blurry and great memories for me, but the footage itself I can only believe has been faked!

Having lived through the 80`s, I, as well as many others would turn to Mr. T for safe, sound advice. He told me to treat my mother right, so I did. He showed me how to deal with peer-pressure and bullies, and I did. He told me to go to school and most importantly, don`t do drugs, and I half listened! But now, now I don`t know what to believe.

I understand Mr. T has had a long and successful career and with such talent comes huge amounts of stress. I feel however this video makes Mr. T look very hypocritical.

Have a look for yourself by click below. I love the sheep in it. Can somebody somewhere reassure me that the video I see here is not real and I should still go about living my life the way I was tort in the 80`s?

Mr. T`s Frogger Adventure

Hello all.

The other week I made and posted a clip of Mr. T having a Pac-Man adventure. Well it look s as though he is at it again only this time he is on a mission to save the frog in the game `Frogger.`

Before watching the video, have a quick guess on how many frogs Mr. T manages to direct across the dangerous road and the raging water, till he navigates them to safety.

I will give you a clue; sometimes the frog had its own plans and did what he wants!

Celebrity Rehab for Gary Busey

Celebrity Rehab is coming back and it is going to be good!

I never really watched the first Celebrity Rehab and to be honest with you, I don`t feel I missed too much. However, this season I will be glued to it watching every last bit. The reason I have decided this season of the show is the season for me is because Gary Busey will be a part of it. Need I say more?

Gary however will not be a cast member but instead will a mentor to the cast members. You may think that Gary Busey, with all his eccentric behavior would be firmly strapped in a straight-jacket sitting in the rehab center waiting for the lepricorns to come and help him. But believe it or not, Gary Busey has actually been sober for 13 years now.

Good on you Mr. Busey, now go help all those other messed up Hollywood crazies!

Tomtom on Apple Iphone

With the new Iphone being released in America today, it was reported yesterday that Tomtom already has a version of its navigation software that runs on the Apple Iphone and have plans to sell it to consumers.

An unnamed spokesperson for Tomtom was quoted saying, `Our navigation system runs on the [3G] Iphone already.`

If this is true, and I don`t see why it would not be, I`m sure Google, who currently provide and service the maps on the Iphone will maybe filling a little out of place. Tomtom`s navigational technology would make the Iphone`s GPS capabilities more on par with the current in-car units and I`m sure would prove to be a huge success.

Dennis Hopper set for Crash

It is reported that Dennis Hopper is set to star in a 13-part TV adaptation of the Oscar winning movie `Crash`.

It is said that the TV series will appear on US cable channel, Starz. The series will feature many different characters from those in the 2005 film.

The TV series is due out in October and reports suggest that Dennis Hopper will play rebel music producer.

I`m sure the series will be a great TV show but the main reason why I am excited is to have Dennis Hopper on TV week in and week out. Hopper is a living marvel and casting him as a maverick music producer in a TV show based on a film that beat the likes of Brokeback Mountain as beast picture in 2006, has got to be a good thing.

Dennis Hopper is 72 years young and still going strong. I for one am looking forward to when this show hits our screens later this year.

Tomtom has sealed the $4.3 billion takeover of Tele Atlas

Tomtom today sealed the $4.3 billion takeover of digital mapmakers Tele Atlas. Tomtom has fought for nearly a year to make this deal happen and in the end has won the bidding war with its U.S rival Garman Ltd.

But the deal is done. Like I said in my blog a few days ago, it had reached a point of being just a matter of time, rather than when or if this will happen.

I believe that this will make Tomtom the strong leader of the pack with the best maps and most up-to-date navigation systems.

Mr. T play set

I have just stumbled upon a fantastic website. www.ironicsans.com features some great individual work from a very talented person.

The one I have fallen in love with is The Mr. T virtual Playset. This has a classic picture of Mr. T, with his famous Mohawk, black beard and gold chains. But this is where it gets fun; down either side of this picture are other hair styles, glasses, and different sorts of facial hair. You can click and drag any of these extras and place them on Mr. T, thus making him look pretty ridiculous in some cases. I`ve been having a lot of fun with this.

Have a play for yourself by clicking here.

Tomtom`s takeover bid

97% of Tele Atlas shareholders have accepted Tomtom`s takeover bid. I`m not sure what the other 3% are waiting on but it now seems a matter of time before this happens as opposed to if this happens.

I personally think this is a good thing. I believe that with Tomtom owning the maps, maps will be able to be updated a lot quicker and more affectively. I understand both sides of the augment and am writing this to ask you your opinions?

My opinion is that Tomtom have the best maps, the best voices and will continue to do so.

Break-dancing with Mr. T

With so many dance shows on TV nowadays I think it`s about time we brought back `Break-dancing with Mr. T.`

To all the talented hopefuls out there Mr. T can teach you to cut some shapes a cut above the rest. `So you think you can dance`,`Your Mama don`t dance` and `Americas next dance crew`, all should take this video clip of Mr. T and make it part of the teaching procedure for each and every competitor.

I have watched a number of these shows myself and have always thought, Wow, these guys are good! Now watching the clip below I know the names of certain dance moves and have new found belief that maybe, with a little coaching from Mr. T, maybe one day you will be seeing me on one of these above mentioned shows.

Break it down for us Mr. T!

Forgotten to get Mr. T a birthday present?

So today is Mr. T`s birthday and he`s turned a ripe old age of 56. It seems to be a birthday week here at Navtones. Dennis Hopper turned 72 just last Friday and now Mr. T has seen another 12 months off making him 56. Gary Busey`s birthday is next month and we have only just missed Burt Reynolds earlier in the year.

I pity the fool who has forgotten to get Mr. T a birthday present but hope Mr. T takes this as a huge birthday wish from everybody here at Navtones and does not hunt us down. After all, the gift is in the post, it`s massive and has had to be shipped, I promise, please don`t hurt me!

Happy Birthday Mr. T and we wish you many more happy and successful years to come.

Gary Busey honks like a goose!

Here at Navtones we love Gary Busey and his crazy ways. As a matter of fact, since I have joined the Navtones team I have firmly become a huge fan of the man. I never knew just how crazy and funny he is.

We have Gary Busey as one of our celebrity voices and I have to admit, it`s one of my favorites! Not only does Gary Busey inform you that if you hit an animal with your car and kill it, you are then required to eat it but in our voice demo he honks like a goose and then tells you to do so too!

If you want to hear our demo then just click here and select Gary Busey. Then if you have a Tomtom, go and buy the full version and have Gary Busey direct you to any of your destinations. He directed me here this morning!

Anyway, I had never heard Gary Busey doing such a thing before and it had me in stitches when I first did. Now I have stumbled across Mr. Busey making the same goose noise for his old show `I`m with Gary Busey.` Again I was laughing aloud. What a guy!

Dennis Hoppers short film aired

Dennis Hoppers short film aired at Cannes Film Festival today. Starring Gwyneth Paltrow the short film has been made for Tod`s owner Diego Della Valle, the man dubbed the Italian Ralph Lauren. It seems as though everybody involved with the short film is having a good week. Dennis Hopper just celebrated his 72nd birthday on Friday and embraced another year by saying, its okay to be getting older and `dreams don't retire.` Gwyneth on the other hand, looking as young as ever and as beautiful as the day she first came onto the scene was confirmed as Tod`s new face for autumn/winter 08.

Though the short film directed by Dennis Hopper is not up on Tod`s website yet, if you want to watch some behind the scenes footage of the making of the movie, just click here.

Dennis Hopper, 72 years young!

Dennis Hopper turned 72 on Friday and celebrated his birthday with style. Already being in Cannes for the film festival his birthday bash was always going to be a star-studded affair.

Not only did Mr. Hopper see his big day in with movie stars such as Harrison Ford, Calista Flockhart and Selma Hayek but huge rock stars like U2`s front man Bono and Rolling Stones vocalist Mick Jagger helped make the party an event not to forget.

With Dennis Hopper looking as good as he does at the ripe young age of 72, my suspicions are that a lot of the famous faces were there to find out what his secret is! I think the Easy Rider star must have found the fountain of youth and the likes of Harrison Ford and Mick Jagger are praying that he lets them take at least a sip!

I think we can all agree that Dennis is looking great and still has a long career ahead of him. Here at Navtones we wish Mr. Hopper a very happy birthday with many more to come!

Mr. T says `No to cameo stuff`

With Cannes film festival now in full swing the rumors on who will star in the film version of the 80`s TV series `The A-Team` are heavily circulating.

Bruce Willis is the newest star to be linked to the film due out June 12th, 2009. He would be stepping into the role of `Hannibal`.

Ice Cube has expressed his interest in playing the role of B.A. Baracus, who was of course played by the one and only Mr. T in the hit TV series.

When asked about the idea of being in the film Mr. T responded with; `I am not going to be in the movie for no cameo stuff. I ain`t got nothing against (producers Spike Seldin, Marc Silvestri, Alex Young and series creator Stephen J. Cannell) picking someone for the movie, but it`s insulting me to ask me to be in it. It`s just like my ex-girlfriend saying, why don`t you come out to dinner with my new boyfriend? You see what I mean? I am not going to do that.`

Mr. T is a living legend, only he could come up with such a great metaphor using an ex-girlfriend at the core of it. Good on him is all I can say. Stick to your guns, though I would love to see him in the movie adaptation. What do you think?

Point Break without Gary Busey!!!

The IESB claims to have uncovered story details from the upcoming sequel to Point Break.

Apparently the new film will be called Point Break Indo, as it is believed most of the film will take place in Indonesia. Clever title!

The original 1991 Point Break film starred Keanu Reeves, Patrick Swayze and Gary Busey. Reading the article on IESB.net they indicated that it is believed the production company has approached both Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze with regards to this film.

I can only hope that they have plans to also reach out to Gary Busey. I would love to see all of the stars of the original movie play a role in this follow up.

Jan de Bont will be directing and the production company believes that they will be filming the `most extreme action stunts ever caught on camera.` If this is indeed the case, who would be better then Hollywood`s favorite crazy Gary Busey to be taking part in such action?

If you want to read more about the rumored plot line, please click here.

Mother`s day with Mr. T

Sunday just gone (May 11th 2008) was Mothers day out in the US. I hope everybody who needed to remember remembered to give their Mom a call and wish her a very happy mother`s day. I`m sure flowers would have got you some good brownie points too!

Anyway, it got me thinking about how in today`s age we take our mothers for granted. I`m not saying it is just the kids today that can be unappreciative; I mean it took Mr. T in the 80`s to tell me to `Treat Your Mother Right` and when Mr. T tells you to do something, you listen.

I guess what I`m getting at is, this is a big thank you to Mr. T for reminding us that our mothers are great and they should be treated right all the time. It`s also a belated happy mother`s day to all the mothers out there. You deserve a great day, week, month and life. All of us sons and daughters appreciate you very much!

If you don`t agree with me, then that`s fine. However, please take your arguments up with Mr. T whom I`m sure won`t take any of your `Jibbah-Jabbah`.

Here is my tribute to mothers everywhere with the classic song by Mr. T, `Treat Your Mother Right`.

Burt Reynolds is star guest on Robot Chicken

O.k, I know this is a little old now and maybe you have already seen it, but if you`re like me and you have not, you have to check this out.

In this episode of robot chicken a race is organized by Burt Reynolds, like in Cannonball Run. The competitors are the likes of; Knight rider, Batman, Mario Brothers and I keep being told the A-team, but yet I cannot seen them in it and Mr. T is quite hard to miss!!!

Burt Reynolds, at the end of the episode has me in stitches. Like he says, he just loves being Burt, Burt, Burt, Burt, Burt...

Mr. T should get SMART

I can`t really imagine Mr. T driving around in one of these, but I love it!

This little SMART car gets anywhere from 45 to 60 MPG and with today`s gas prices maybe it wouldn`t be such a bad idea.

I guess the A-Team would have to take turns riding in it as it only holds 2 people. With Mr. T in it I would imagine Hannibal or the others might be a little squashed.

With this SMART car being done up like the A-team van, I now want to see a SMART car done up like Burt Reynold`s car in `Smokey and the bandit` as well as his car in `The Cannonball Run`.

If anybody out there has a SMART car done up like one of these cars above, please send me a picture, it will go straight up on this page. I love this A-Team SMART car and I don`t see how you couldn`t!

Dennis Hopper completes new short film

Dennis Hopper has today completed a new short film in coordination with Italian accessories brand Tod`s.

The film shows a day in the life of the gorgeous Gwyneth Paltrow in Italy with Tod`s accessories. The shot film is yet to be named and lasts only 4 minutes. It will debut at Cannes Film festival in France and will then be put on Tod`s web site.

Dennis Hopper can act, direct films and direct you where to go on your GPS. Is there anything this man can`t do?

Dennis Hopper as President?

`Swing Vote`, a new film starring Dennis Hopper, Kevin Costner and Kelsey Grammer will see Dennis Hopper and Kelsey Grammer playing the roles of presidential candidates. The concept of the film is that somehow, the entire presidential election comes down to one vote.

Now I know that this is just a film, I also know that in reality the two actors probably wouldn`t make the best presidents of the US, but having said that, without beating round the bush to much, I`m sure they couldn`t do much worse then what has already been done. Anyway, what I am getting at is, if I had the power to choose one of these actors in a swing vote, I would be picking Dennis Hopper, hands down!

Just like he asks here on Navtones, Dennis Hopper might question you with, `What, are you high?` And I would have to answer; that all depends on the policies you will be bringing to the White House Mr. Hopper! (It might well help me make my mind up in the swing vote too)

You can check out new exclusive pictures of `Swing Vote` by clicking here.

Driven and signed by Burt Reynolds

This Pontiac Y82 Trans, signed and driven by Burt Reynolds, similar to the legendary car in `Smokey and the Bandit` is up for sale.

It has been featured in Hot Rod magazine twice and to me looks pretty sweet! It is up on ebay and the current highest bidder is $50,600.00. There is still 6 and a half hours left to go so I can only imagine that the finishing sale price is going to be through the roof.

If my boss would pay me more making it so I had a spare $60,000 or so, I guarantee you that I would be rolling to work in my very own Pontiac Trans! With my GPS voice set on Burt Reynolds, window down and arm taping on the outside, I know I would be the coolest kid in town!

If you fancy making a bid, check it out here.

Gary Busey wants his straight-jacket back

I think I have decided to dedicate this week to Gary Busey.

A day or so ago I had posted a blog telling you about a photo shoot where Gary Busey shouted at the photograph because they wanted to snap him in a straight-jacket. I've now found a clip on youtube where Gary Busey is chasing Tyler Shields, who is restrained in a straight-jacket and Gary is asking for it back.

I think it is safe to say that Tyler Shields should give the jacket back, help Gary get into it and keep running. Run like Forest Gump and never look back!

Gary Busey for "Saints Row 2"

Having already posted my favorite Gary Busey advertisement for `Saints Row 2`, it was a pleasure to learn today I could post more!!!

I had originally thought that there were only 3 videos in the marketing campaign for `Saints Row 2`, staring Gary Busey, but how wrong I was. I have discovered 3 more clips and can no longer decide which clip is my favorite. Watching all 6 awesome, borderline crazy, completely insane video clips has now stopped me from working for a good 45 minutes. I keep laughing a loud and am slowly dragging the whole office down with me.

I know you have probably stopped reading by now and have gone straight to the clip, but, if you are still reading you should help me pick what we think is the best one? I am leaning towards the `Police Abuse` video but I need help. Not as much help as Mr. Gary Busey, but help never-the-less!

Gary Busey, Hollywood`s favorite Crazy!!!

Gary Busey was in a bizarre, yet intriguing photo shoot for an up and coming book titled, `The dirty side of glamor`. The book will benefit victims of hurricane Katrina and those of wild fires. As it is for such a good cause its hard to say anything bad about him but maybe, just maybe, Gary Busey should remain in the straight-jacket they snapped him in. Shouting at the photograph and describing what he will do to him, Gary Busey has raised the bar again! One thing is for sure though; if you ask Gary a question, make sure your question does not have his answer within it!

So, Gary, are you going to seek mental health or is seeking mental health something Mr. Busey just don't do?

Check it out!

If you pity the mudslinging Barack Obama has had to occur from Hillary Clinton, maybe this T-shirt is for you. We here at Navtones are not endorsing, nor have any idea if the creator of the T-shirt is endorsing Barack Obama but we do love the design and find it hilarious!!! I mean, who doesn't love Mr. T?

If you pity the candidate and want to get one of these T-shirts, you can order by clicking here.

Coming 4/25/08 -- Burt's new Flick `Deal`

On the heels of the runaway success of card flick `21` comes `Deal` featuring our very own Burt Reynolds. Ok, so 21 was about the MIT kids who took Vegas blackjack shops for millions with an elaborate scheme of dealer selection, card counting, and various other cheats. `Deal` is all about poker.

Burt once recounted a story to us about his weekly poker game attended by a bunch of former and current Hollywood players, which included an anecdote about an up-and-coming entertainer on the urban scene whose routine got shot down by none other than Don Rickles - another Vegas stalwart. So, Burt's perfect for the role since he's a real player. ALSO NOTEWORTHY: Shannon Elizabeth in underwear and skimpy tops! Now, if we could just do something about the PG-13 rating...

What are You Paying for Gas?

Oil set a new record today by hitting $119 per barrel and I snapped this pic on the way into the office - this is cheap! The national average is now at $3.51 for a gallon of regular gas. Truckers are being hit hardest with diesel at $4.20 per gallon - we feel your pain!

Here in LA, most regular gas is around $3.90, with our premium well over $4.00 at all but the cheapest of stations (i.e. ARCO). Post a comment and tell us of your plight in your area.

One of the cooler features of the new TomTom devices and TomTom HOME2 is the ability to give you real-time gas prices for just about any station. It's 14 bucks a year and can be added to your TomTom from the home dashboard. If you drive a cool earth-killing SUV, this feature will probably save you a ton of scratch over the year.

Here are some screenshots of the process.
You just plug in your device, install updates, and click through the screens.

Pretty easy, eh?

Gary Busey Goes Public

Gary Busey has gone public on the alleged eviction at his Malibu home. Gary has said that he did not get evicted by the landlord but left his Malibu pad on his own accord.

He states the reasons he left his rented property was because the landlord did not care about the house, or the health of the tenant. Gary Busey, in an interview to Access Hollywood said; "I'm living in a house that's had mold in the air and asbestos in the air, and the lights don't work and the fixtures are falling out of the wall. The patio wood is crumbling so people could trip and fall. I said, 'Woah, I'm outta here!"

He also blamed his recent odd behavior at the Oscars in February (08) on the excitement of being out of the house.

We hope that Gary Busey has remembered to reprogram his GPS to navigate him to his new residents. I wonder if he uses his own voice for his directions or if he is more of a Mr. T guy?

Illness sidelines Dennis Hopper`s Son

A little over a week ago I had expressed how happy and excited I was to hear that the Son of Dennis Hopper, Henry Lee Hopper, had landed his first starring role in a teen horror movie.

Unfortunately, Henry Lee Hopper has had to withdraw due to illness. He will be replaced by `Jumper` star Max Thierot.

There have been no creative differences between Dennis Hopper`s Son and director, Wes Craven. Craven had even considered pushing the film back, but decided he couldn`t because of the looming actors strike.

We wish Henry Lee Hopper a speedy recovery and look forward to the next role he lands. I`m still banking on Henry Lee Hopper becoming a huge success. I hope that his career is as successful as his fathers and if it is, maybe we will see him here at Navtones as yet another fantastic celebrity voice.
